Look Amazing In Your Photos

I know you want to look fantastic in your photos. You’ve paid money for them and will want to show them off all over social media and your home. But most people don’t roll out of bed, throw something on and look like a million dollars. It takes a little thought and some planning.
And that’s why I’ve come up with these 5 tips on what to wear so you will look amazing and thus feel amazing in your photos.
Be Comfortable
Now I don’t mean that comfy old t-shirt and ripped yoga pants, but you should wear clothes that you are comfortable in and that fit well. If you are spending the entire session pulling and tugging on ill-fitting clothes it will show in your photos. If you feel uncomfortable, you’ll look uncomfortable!
Find Your Style
Everyone has their own style and your session is a great way to express that. If you are known for your love of wearing hats, wear one! Your clothes should reflect your personality.
That being said please don’t do “matchy matchy”, this is outdated and you’ll just look silly. Rather co-ordinate your look. Choose colours that compliment each other, and keep the colour palate simple.
Choosing Your Outfit
Think about the level of formality of your session. Do you want to be fancy and elegant or cool and trendy? Whatever you decide make sure you are both either formal or casual. A mix of the two can look confusing.
Dress for the location and weather
When choosing your look consider your location; high heels on beach sand are not a good idea. Dress for the season and weather, if it’s cold don’t wear a strapless dress or you’ll be freezing and if it’s hot don’t wear your favourite winter coat.
Consider how you plan on using the photos
If you plan on printing and displaying your images (which I think you definitely should!) think about where in your home you’ll display them and the colour palate of the room. You might also want to think about how the different looks will flow together if you want to print a series of photos.
Bonus tip: This one is for the ladies. I highly recommend professional hair and make up. It will make you look and feel your best, which means you’ll be more confident and that shows in your photos, in the best way possible!
And one final piece of advice: Always choose classic over trendy!
